• Kidney Function Test (Serum Creatinine): A recent Serum Creatinine blood test report (usually within the last 15 to 30 days) is mandatory. Since the contrast dye is processed and eliminated by the kidneys, we must ensure that your renal function is sufficient to clear the dye.
• Bladder Preparation: Depending on the clinical indication, you may be asked to drink water and avoid urinating just before the scan. A full bladder helps push the small intestine out of the pelvic cavity and makes the bladder walls easier to evaluate.
• Allergy Disclosure: Please inform the Scan4Health team if you have a known iodine allergy or have reacted to contrast media in the past.
• Remove Metal Objects: You will be asked to remove jewelry, belts, and clothing with metal zippers or buttons from the waist and hip area.
• Medication Review: Please let our staff know if you take Metformin for diabetes. You may need to pause this medication for 48 hours after the scan.
